Legal basis for the NRFC
- The National Reconstruction Fund Corporation (NRFC) was established by the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation Act 2023(Opens in a new tab/window) (the NRFC Act). The Minister for Industry and Science administers the NRFC Act and jointly exercises powers specified in the NRFC Act with the Minister for Finance.
- Section 6 of the Act established the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation (Priority Areas) Declaration 2023(Opens in a new tab/window).
- The NRFC's Investment Mandate(Opens in a new tab/window) sets directions for our investment functions, and how we exercise our investment powers.
Reporting
- Quarterly investment reports: We publish investment reports in accordance with the NRFC Act.
- Senate order for entity contracts: Twice a year we report on contracts entered into during the preceding calendar or financial year, valued at or above $100,000 (GST inclusive).
- Senate order for indexed lists of departmental and agency files: This order requires departments and agencies to publish indexed lists of file titles on their website, for tabling before parliament twice a year.
Corporate Plans

Annual Reports
Read the NRFC's current Annual Report. Our Annual Reports provide detailed information about our organisation, performance, financial statements and governance.
Investment policies
The NRFC Board has developed investment policies consistent with the requirements of the NRFC Act and other elements of our governing framework, including the Investment Mandate.
The NRFC Investment Policies describe our investment strategy, performance benchmarks, approach to managing risk, and approach to environmental, social (including labour) and governance issues.
Charters
These charters set out the roles, responsibilities, membership and operation of the NRFC Board as well as the Board’s Audit and Risk Committee and Remuneration, People and Culture Committee.
